CFUR 88.7FM: Prince George's Community-Based Campus Radio

Listen live online: Windows | Mac

Bonjour, Salut, Hello

Did any of you ever have to watch Téléfrançais in high school French? I did, and now whenever I’m writing a greeting I get the theme song stuck in my head.

I’m Andrew, by the way. After six years of serving campus radio in Prince George, Christopher Earl has decided to cease being station manager, and the reigns have been handed over to me.

One of my main goals is to fully bring CFUR onto the world wide web. I’ve taken over the Facebook page and created a Twitter feed, as well. Oh, and I’ve completely gutted the website so that it has blogging functionality– this is a work in progress, so please excuse the current mess. I’ll be fixing it over the next couple days.

My hope is to get other volunteers and DJs in on these things to bring a new element of interactivity to the CFUR experience. We’re also looking at podcasting, as well as concert showcases and other keen ideas.

Nothing is set in stone, so please feel free to email me. You can also let me know what you think of the site, the station, or anything by using the comment function on here, or contacting us via Facebook or Twitter.

I see my bus through the window, so I’ve got to run but don’t worry. I’ll be here lots more.

Uhhh how can I listen online if there are no links or ips to stick in my media player.
  • Christopher
The stream appears to not be functioning right now, but I'm sure the new Station Manager will have it up and running sometime today.

Meanwhile, I can tell you that the link to put in your media player is http://www.cfur.ca/high_bandwidth.m3u. Also, you can go to www.shoutcast.com and search for "cfur" if you are unable to listen at cfur.ca for any reason.
  • Yup, I'm actively working on that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  • cant listen
ok cool can you guys please put up a link to it in the sidebar of the homepage? (when it's up an running i suppose)
  • Thanks to Christopher swooping in and saving the day, it's all up and running. I'm still putting the page elements in, but a stable link can be found at http://cfur.ca/listen
