Just wanted to give you a heads up that three new shows start airing on CFUR today: Search Engine, Red Eye, and the North by East West mixtape.
Search Engine – Mondays at noon
Search Engine is a show that focuses on the shifting nature of culture and politics in the face of new technology. Every week, host Jesse Brown takes a look at some facet of this new world, be it blogs in Iran, video games in China, or the latest news on copyright law in Canada. Today’s episodes focus on the meaning of “open.”
Redeye – Mondays at 12:30(ish)
Red Eye is produced by Vancouver Cooperative Radio and distributed through the Rabble podcast network. It focuses on the issues of the day and takes a closer look– for example, today’s episodes focus on the climate conference in Bolivia and the story of Abousfian Abdelrazik, the Canadian who a year after a federal court ordered the Canadian government to allow to return home to Canada still can’t get a bank account or a passport.
