Miss Northern British Columbia Angela Han!

The Scoop from the PG Daily News on Miss Northern BC!  Angela Han, 22 was crowned Miss Northern British Columbia in Vancouver.  She competed against 55 other contestants for Miss World Canada.  Han completed her Bachelors of Arts (in Political Science & English) at University of Northern British Columbia in PG.  She is now pursuing her Master's Degree in Museum Studies in Cambridge, MA.  

Han's goal  was "to fundraise for the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada and to fulfill some of the most complex wishes imaginable in British Columbia and the rest of Canada.” Angela Han came in top 10 Finalists of the competition and finished in 8th Place. What an accomplishment!

Three Great Bands at the Legion!

Ali McCormick at Nancy Os with Britt A.M.

Ali McCormick with Special Guest Britt A.M. will be playing at Nancy Os on Thursday August 9th, at 8:30 PM!  Cover is $10. 

Though the body has ventured across the land, the soul has never strayed far from her childhood homestead. Ali McCormick offers up her most personal offering to date with That  Place You Know, her third album. “I love bringing a song, be it a story or a feeling, to people,” Ali says. “If a song has made someone think of something they want to change about themselves, or helped them remember someone they love then I’m in my happy place.”

Fresh Air Films

They will provide advertising opportunities, vendor opportunities and a concession. All the proceeds raised from the event will go to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign to support 1 in 5 children and families to participate in YMCA camps and programs, such as YMCA Camp Kanannaq and Beyond the Bell.
