On this show: A wide representation of various Celtic regions: Cape Breton, Scotland (both Gaelic), Ireland, and Wales. Just a note: the Irish song "Aon Focal Eile" (near the end of the show) just means "One Other Word"...or "Just another word". :-)
Have a listen to more from Julie Fowlis, and Dougie McCance as well as the Irish Rovers, Ishbel MacAskill, Gwenno, and more!

From Friday March 2 - Sunday March 18, 2018 at the ArtSpace above Books & Company, the Miracle Theatre will be holding a comedic play to support local charities.
Synopsis: "What happens when a barbershop quartet loses a key member to a heart-stopping high note? The three surviving members suddenly find themselves scrambling to find a tenor before the national competition. When the golden tones of "Bob" are heard through the phone the Lipitones are all ears... But when they meet him in person, he's not quite what they expected. An uproarious comedy of misunderstanding, stereotypes and the path to perfect harmony."
Tickets are just $32 in person at Books & Company (1685 3rd Ave, Prince George) or by phone (259-563-6637).

What time of year isn't busy? Don't answer that. The answer would depress us all. Instead, let's take a moment to appreciate the artists who take the time to create some chilled out energy. because I can't commit to anything, the ENTIRE episode is not chilled out R&B, but the majority is. So put up your feet and delve into some well deserved R&R.
Some days you sell the hubcaps, other days... the hubcaps sell you.
Back after a loong weekend last weekend....hope you enjoy the show! More from Dougie McCance, Julie Fowlis, and North Uist! Also tune in for Gillie MacKenzie, Horo, and more!

Downtown Winterfest is this weekend, and it's definitely going to be an event you don't want to miss out on!
Not only can you experience awesome things there such as Ice sculpting, a snow mobile presentation, and the Legion Winter Market but CFUR will be there, taking part!
We will be selling our "CFUR Jams S'mores" as a part of "There's S'more Downtown" where teams compete to sell the most s'mores. All proceeds go a charitable organization of each teams choosing... we are sending our earnings to the Connaught Youth Centre!
Not enough incentive to come check it out yet? What if we told you that are S'mores are deep fried, jam filled marshmallows, served on a graham cracker, drizzled in a rich chocolate sauce?! You can even grab a coffee to go along with the snack. And best of all they are only $2 each!!!
A HUGE thank you to Zoes Java House for donating all the coffee, and Gordon Food Service for supplying us will all the marshmallows and graham crackers.
Come down to support the community, support CFUR, and grab a delicious treat...its a win, win, WIN situation.
