Arts Wells Festival 2018
ArtsWells Festival is presented by Island Mountain Arts, and we are based out of Wells, BC.
Wells has always been a town vibrant of arts and culture. In the 1930’s, musical acts were enjoyed in the same Community Hall where many of this year’s shows and exhibitions are held. This is a 4 day outdoor & indoor event taking place across 10 stages and is designed with community in mind. Artists have traveled from across the country to this little mountain town take part in this inspiring collaboration, now in its 14th year. We hope that you will enjoy the weekend taking in the great artists, the local flavour of nature trails, historical sites, artisans and friendly folk!

Ghostly Hounds combines strings, horns and powerful vocals to create a dark, jazzy sound. Currently based out of Montréal and often on the road, the band's members hail from British Columbia, Ontario, Québec, and Massachusetts. Ghostly Hounds self-produced their debut demos in November 2015, only a month after beginning to play together. They have toured Canada coast to coast, playing well over 100 shows from PEI to Vancouver Island. On June 5th, 2017 Ghostly Hounds released their debut full length album "Creature".

Old Time Honey - From the vibrant streets of Montreal to the big top circus, Old Time Honey seamlessly blend the sounds of old time, tin pan alley, and cabaret to create a very festive atmosphere with a theatrical touch. Played on hand made a washboard, banjo, piano, fiddle, upright bass, and tied together with hauntingly memorable vocal harmonies, these performers are as much fun to watch as to listen to!

Since finding each other in Nelson, B.C. 10 years ago The Party On High Street has worked tirelessly to bring it's signature feel-good funk jams to the people! We are a lively dance-inducing mix of funk, folk and jazz fuelled rockn' roll, joyfully delivered and presented like a funbomb waiting to make you jive. Our band sings of peculiar youthful enchantments, weird love, and some of the odder aspects of life.
Meet Bobby Dove! Dove was born in Montreal, QB singer/songwriter Bobby Dove planted her musical roots singing and picking at the Wheel Club’s weekly hillbilly nights, where she found a mentor in the resident lap steel player Bobby Hill: songwriter, educator, and pioneer of Canadian country radio in the 1950’s.
Malcolm.Harold and the materials is a local Prince George, BC and is an artist, a dancer, and talented singer with potential head and shoulders model and a multi-instrumentalist who produces his own music from his bedroom.

Prolific Singer-Songwriter William Kuklis delivers a musical experience that is not to be missed. Influenced by a wide array of genres and artists, Kuklis incorporates his powerhouse vocals, emotion and charisma into a bold and unique expression of music. A founding member of the eclectic folk band “cultured cowboy kuklis cut his teeth in the cafes and roadhouses of Vancouver during which time they released two full length studio albums. 2001 Kuklis branched out on his own releasing his first solo album entitled ” the price we pay” which was received with great acclaim from critics and listeners alike. 2013 kuklis opened vinyl deck studios”, his recording studio in Prince George BC and has been working with and producing several select artists including juno nominee Marcel Gagnon.
