The Radio Love concert features material from Gianna Lauren's latest album, Vanity Metrics, in addition to songs from the artist's back catalog. The session was recorded live off the floor at Port William Sound studio in Mountain Grove, ON in November 2021 with engineer Jonas Bonetta (evening hymns) and features Eliza Niemi on cello and vocals (Mauno, Eliza Niemi), Jeff Kingsbury on drums (Ellevator, Mauno), Julien Dussault on electric guitar (Pony Girl), and Greggory Clark on electric bass (Pony Girl).
"This project harmonizes my two passions: music and radio. Since we were unable to tour the release of Vanity Metrics due to the pandemic, we were compelled to think creatively of alternative formats to present the songs in a live setting," says Lauren. "Radio Love is incredibly meaningful to me because it allows us to continue to foster relationships with the radio community, and it reunited the band and I after two years apart."
CFUR is very excited to kickoff the tour with the first performance airing March 2nd at 3pm PST on 88.7 FM. You can also stream the show online here: https://cfur.ca/listen-live
