¡Local Music Alert! - Britt A.M's "Immolation"
Local Artist, Britt A.M. released a new EP this past Friday and set the Legion 43 on fire Saturday night!
“Immolation” is available on BandCamp.
Website Description:
Recorded live off the floor under the careful ear of Connor Pritchard at Pulp City Music, “Immolation” is a stylistically eclectic set of songs that ruminates on the discomfort of trying to heal old wounds and stay connected to a declining natural world while the internet delivers our deepest annoyances and fears at lightning speed. Backed by the skillful playing of Nathan Kelly on lead guitar, Brin Porter on bass, and Justin Gendreau on drums, “Immolation” starts gently with the vintage swing of “Bless the Moon”, ramping up through a series of progressively heavier songs until the blistering finale, “Friends in the DMs”. Britt A.M.’s presence on this EP leans into her love for being loud, while holding space for her old friend, mellow melancholy, setting the tone for her future appearances and releases.
Stay tuned to her website to catch the next shows on deck and to get a hold of her new killer swag. More of her catalog can easily be found on https://thisisbrittam.bandcamp.com/
UNBC Poli-Sci Students Want Your Thoughts on Homelessness in PG
Political Science 320, Canadian Politics and Policy taught by Prof. Jason Morris – launched a 17-question survey for the public.
You can find and complete that survey here.
The survey includes questions ranging from how serious the homeless situation is, to causes, to solutions.
It serves to understand the perceptions and beliefs held by participants, regarding the cities’ un-housed population, as well as government responsibility for the issue.
Those who agree to take the survey will be asked some basic demographic questions regarding identity, employment and the area of Prince George in which they reside.
At the completion of the survey participants will also have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win one of two Amazon gift cards.
You can find the survey here.
