In 2023, Give Hope Wings is launching three distinct expeditions focusing on Western Canada, the Prairies, Ontario, and Eastern Canada. These expeditions will include stops at major metropolitan airports, Hope Air patient communities, and renowned aviation locations. The aim is to raise funds and awareness for Hope Air, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support. You'll have the chance to witness stunning aerial vistas, interact with Hope Air patients, and engage in various community events.
Give Hope Wings has already raised an impressive amount of over $1.8 million, facilitating 5145 travel arrangements for individuals facing challenging circumstances. This initiative is your opportunity to join forces with Canadian pilots and leave a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.

UNBC is conducting a study on Post-Secondary Student Homelessness (PSSH) and how it is a growing problem across Canada. They are asking to talk to anyone who has
experienced any form of homelessness,
Is your experience with homelessness in the past or currently experiencing homelessness,
experience with homelessness and its length of time (e.g. very brief or a long time),
if you have been at risk of homelessness but have not been homeless,
are concerned you could become homeless.
Interviews will be 1 to 1.5 hours long and can be attended at UNBC or virtually and will be conducted by a student researcher. For participating in this project, you will receive a $25 gift card. For more information, please get in touch with PSSH.UNBC@gmail.com.

Fly is a concert happening May 13th at 1505 5 Ave, Prince George, BC and features local professional musicians, including Shoshanna Godber, Katherine Peter, Allison Bell and Noel Jagoand and is themed to include many facets of lights. In addition, they will have a bake sale set at Intermissions that will be by donation to help support the St. Michaels lunch program, as well as a silent auction to benefit the Cantata Singers who continue to share their passion for choral music with you.
Today we participate in the Moose Hide Campaign, which began as a BC-born Indigenous-led grassroots movement to engage men and boys in ending violence towards women and children. It has since grown into a nationwide movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians from local communities, First Nations, governments, schools, colleges/universities, police forces and many other organizations – all committed to taking action to end this violence. Since the Campaign began over 10 years ago along the Highway of Tears, thousands of communities and organizations across Canada have held Moose Hide Campaign events and joined the annual Moose Hide Campaign Day ceremony and fast. People of all ages, genders and backgrounds are invited to take part in Moose Hide Campaign activities.

The campaign is grounded in Indigenous ceremony and traditional ways of learning and healing. A cornerstone of the Moose Hide Campaign is the moose hide pin. Wearing the pin signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and speak out against gender-based and domestic violence. To date, over three million moose hide pins have been distributed free of charge to communities, schools, and workplaces across Canada.
