As part of CFUR’s Federal Election 2025 coverage, which aims to interview all the candidates running in the Cariboo–Prince George, and Prince George–Peace River–Northern Rockies ridings, we spoke to resource management MA Jodie Capling. Hailing from Alexis Creek, about 100km outside Williams Lake BC, Capling states what drew her to get behind the Greens, “I really like the Green Party’s attitude that if an idea is good for Canadians, it doesn’t matter where it came from. If it’s the best thing to do for Canadians, let’s do it.”
In our conversation, Capling shares her perspective on healthcare, housing, and balancing sustainability with development. While she admits she’s new to the political scene, and a successful election would present a steep learning curve, she’s willing to listen “if people have ideas that they want to share about their vision for Canada, or things that they think would be important, I’d love to hear about it.”
This interview is part of a series. You can hear our interview with Liberal Party candidate for Cariboo-Prince George, Clinton Emslie, here. We’ll post links to further interviews as we publish them.
