Raising a family, and operating a forestry business, in Prince George–Lheidli T’enneh after moving here from northern Alberta over thirty years ago, Trudy Klassen has been a familiar volunteer before entering public service in 2022 as a Prince George City Councillor. She’s been involved with School District 57 as a Volunteer Coordinator, and active member of the Rotary Club’s local chapter to name just a couple. At city hall, she’s sat on a number of committees including, but by no means limited to, the Standing Committee on Finance and Audit.
Klassen spoke with CFURadio comfortably banging out answers during an efficient 15 minute question period, which was informed by examining her platform, and our audience survey.
She hopes the younger cohort will get behind her plan ahead of our Municipal Elections on October 17th, 2026 for a livable future in Prince George. A future she hopes to make more affordable, accessible, and safe by serving on Prince George City Council.
In collaboration with CFIS 93.1FM, CFURadio 88.7FM held an All Candidates Forum for Mayoral and Council candidates the evening of Thursday October 8th, 2026. The forum’s audio is posted on www.cfur.ca and available on FrequencyNews.ca.
CFURadio is striving to conduct, and share, interviews with every City Council & Mayoral candidate running in the City of Prince George’s 2026 Municipal Election.
