Tim Bennett has been volunteering in our community in a variety of ways, essentially since he was able to, leveraging his passion for arts & culture, and also championing the opportunities sport represents locally. These interests led him into a School Board Trustee position, then into Prince George City Council in 2022. His working life features a resume of non-profit and charitable activity, primarily with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC, and Scouts Canada.
Bennett spoke with CFURadio’s audience about the challenges he and council have navigated and the opportunities that lay ahead. He wants to move into a proactive approach to the future of the city, preparing for a coming economic boom, as opposed to a reactive approach. In the present, rental costs, transit improvements, and other aspects of affordability are on his front burner. Bennett revealed this, and more, while answering questions that were brought about upon examining his platform, and prioritized through our audience survey.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the public in various capacities over the last several years, encouraged young people to exercise their right to vote, and hopes people understand the significance of Prince George–Lheidli T’enneh’s future ahead of our Municipal Elections on October 17th, 2026.
In collaboration with CFIS 93.1FM, CFURadio 88.7FM held an All Candidates Forum for Mayoral and Council candidates the evening of Thursday October 8th, 2026. The forum’s audio is posted on www.cfur.ca and available on FrequencyNews.ca.
CFURadio is striving to conduct, and share, interviews with every City Council & Mayoral candidate running in the City of Prince George’s 2026 Municipal Election.
