James Steidle Interview

Returning to Prince George–Lheidli T’enneh to become a local taxpayer in 2017 after exploring the world, pursuing education and employment, James Steidle now runs for a City of Prince George Council position.  Exploiting our overlaying transportation infrastructure by supporting our city’s role as a transport and logistics hub is part of his plan. Aware of what regional AI technology development already means for residents, Steidle weighs the benefits additional expanding industries may bring and wishes to position the community to capture the incoming wave. Prioritizing affordable non-market housing, developed considering population density, is something Steidle feels would soften the pressures of affordability, while preparing for change.

Hanging up his Stop the Spray BC hat for a moment after tirelessly advocating for green space, Steidle kept to our 15 minute time limit while answering questions that were brought about upon identifying his platform, and prioritized through our audience survey. He hopes others will see the value of supporting local business, economy, and community ahead of the City of Prince George’s Municipal Elections on October 17th, 2026.

In collaboration with CFIS 93.1FM, CFURadio 88.7FM held an All Candidates Forum for Mayoral and Council candidates the evening of Thursday October 8th, 2026. The forum’s audio is posted on www.cfur.ca and available on FrequencyNews.ca.

CFURadio is striving to conduct, and share, interviews with every City Council & Mayoral candidate running in the City of Prince George’s 2026 Municipal Election.
