Jesi Janjua Interview

Jesi Janjua has always called Prince George–Lheidli T’enneh home, having volunteered in the local Rotary club, worked in a variety of industries including hospitality, social services and now industrial services. He’s aiming to sit on City Council after this inaugural dash towards local government. Janjua tries to balance a compassionate perspective on poverty with a firm stance on crime in the public safety aspect of his platform. That’s not all he focused on during our 15 minute question period time limit while answering questions that were informed through our audience survey.

Jesi referenced local food production and reducing the cost of rentals by increasing their supply as practical solutions to address affordability pressures. He also cited the need for council members to get involved in development projects by exploring areas of the community in question and talking to residents about their concerns.

Janjua promises to dig in wholeheartedly if elected to the Prince George City Council during our Municipal Elections on October 17th, 2026.

In collaboration with CFIS 93.1FM, CFURadio 88.7FM held an All Candidates Forum for Mayoral and Council candidates the evening of Thursday October 8th, 2026. The forum’s audio is posted on www.cfur.ca and available on FrequencyNews.ca.

CFURadio is striving to conduct, and share, interviews with every City Council & Mayoral candidate running in the City of Prince George’s 2026 Municipal Election.
