No Power in The Tower!
Hello dear audience, there's so many ways to say it, but please bear with us while we rectify an issue presumably caused by relentless spring wind. We are working to bring our terrestrial broadcast back to its former glory on 88.7FM. It's predicted to be up and running by Friday morning, 28 April 2017. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Until then, tune in to our online feed right here on www.cfur.ca
On the bright side, we could be dealing with relentless Winter wind!

This Is Britt A.M., Episode 47, Black History Month and Black Lives Matter
February was Black History Month, and on this first day of March, I hope to continue the conversation of the importance of racial equality and black presence, history, and experience in our society past the month of February. I hope to present today’s tracks, and a Ted Talks interview with the founders of Black Lives Matter, from a place of support and solidarity, with acknowledgement of my privilege as a white person.

YouTube Round-Up / April 7, 2016
Here are a few note-worthy videos kickin' around on the YouTube these days. Disclaimer: CFUR Radio cannot be held liable if you end up 3.5 hours deep in clips of American newscasters being edited to rap Gin & Juice, or whatever.
Golden Days — Whitney
One cold winter in Chicago, IL, Julien Ehrlich of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Max Kakacek of Smith Westerns got together and wrote some songs. The resulting sound could be described as dreamy folk littered with elements of indie pop-rock, or something along those lines. Hear for yourself on their bandcamp page, on YouTube, or live in Vancouver on April 26 at the Biltmore.
P.S. Whitney's first LP is set to be released June 3, 2016 !!

Everytime x Twin Peaks Theme — Britney Spears x Angelo Baladamenti
Someone on Tumblr put the vocal track to Britney Spears' Everytime (2003) over the Twin Peaks theme song (1990). It is beautiful and haunting and everything I could have asked for from the internet.

Andy Shauf — Jenny Come Home | A Take Away Show
La Blogothèque's Take Away Shows are always time well-wasted, and this show of Andy Shauf's in particular is nice. A pie chart illustrating the niceness of it would show a medium-sized slice entitled "warm, sunny, Parisian spring vibes," a smaller slice for "breezy editing," and a big slice dedicated to "Andy's prairie boy accent."

Comet Catalina To Buzz The Planet - Jan 2016
There is a new comet in the early morning sky that can be seen before dawn. Comet 2013 US10 (Catalina) has travelled an estimated one million years from the distant Oort Cloud and will pass the one and only time through our solar system. Closest approach to Earth is on January 12, 2016. Once it’s gone it will never return. It should be a naked eye object towards the end of December as seen from dark locations and away from light pollution. Binoculars and even better, a telescope will show the green glow of the comet’s nucleus.
There is a finder chart on Gary Boyle's website: www.wondersofastronomy.com

Ants... AMAZING
Ever asked yourself, "How big is an ant hill?"
The clips is taken from "Ants: Nature's Secret Super Power." If you hold the belief that all life is sacred, then this is clearly an ethically questionable practice. However,
Conclusion: We've got nothing on ants!
If you want to make your own amazing documentary, here are some great tips from Jen Reviews!
