COLDSNAP 2021- Feb 1

Just because the weekend will be over, doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! The Monday blues won’t get you down this time with Rock N Roll right around the corner! Rachelle Van Zanten is back with Elijah Quinn!

At 12:00 pm on Monday, February 1, Van Zanten will also be doing an Intro to Slide Workshop! Even better, the workshop is FREE thanks to the sponsors and funders! Advance registration is required in order for participants to receive the Zoom link to the workshop. Links will be sent out two days prior to the workshop. This is your chance to learn how to tune a guitar and learn some other guitar skills!

Looking for something to do with the kids this Sunday afternoon? Coldsnap presents an afternoon show with Rachelle Van Zanten you won’t want to miss! Not only is it great music for the kids but the adults will enjoy it just as much!

Later Sunday night there will be two more amazing performers! A great duo, Pharis & Jason Romero, and the excellent Marin Patenaude will be on at 7:30 pm.

Pharis and Jason Romero met in 2007 and have been creating amazing country and folk music ever since. They have released six records, toured all over, and enjoyed two Juno awards, multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards, and performances on A Prairie Home Companion and CBC’s The Vinyl Cafe. Marin Patenaude does it all! Not only is she a fantastic folk (and jazz) singer, instrumental in bringing the Arts on the Fly Festival to life, but growing up she did some landscaping, trained horses, went travelling, and so much more! COLDSNAP 2021 Kickoff! - Jan 29th

Coldsnap 2021 has arrived! From Friday, January 29th all the way until Saturday, February 6 we are blessed to have amazing acts! On the first day (January 29) we will hear from the amazing Maureen Washington and see the very talented mother and daughter Kelsey Abraham and Bella Rain Abraham perform.

Maureen is a Canadian/International Jazz singer. She is an accomplished jazz and blues vocalist, songwriter, and instructor who can sing anything from Jazz and R&B classics to originals. Celtic Fire: Season 16, Episode 13

A brand new brand with all-new names for this show becomes the theme song…Fàrsan with A' Mhisg a Chuir an Nollaig. They are a real toe-tapping band and have become the focus band of this part of Season 16. Along with Fàrsan, Còig comes back with some tunes throughout the show as the back music-providing toe-tapping band. Listen for Colette Cheverie, Cruinn, Colin MacLeod, and Cliar….and many more!

Regional power outages impacting multiple TELUS facililties

Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland are experiencing a disruption of service from TELUS. The disruption is linked to a “power outage impacting TELUS infrastructure”, TELUS’ Service Status website has said and, as such, “home services are experiencing a disruption, which may result in you being unable to make or receive calls.” The website says that services such as home phone, mobile text, voice and data services have all been affected by the outage. As of an update that was issued at 4:23 pm today, “Technical teams have been engaged and investigation is ongoing.” You may follow the website for further details and to stay up to date on the service blackout as the situation unfolds here:

It's Official- Coldsnap 2021 is Happening!

Coldsnap 2021 is gearing up for their 2021 live music festival. Only this time, everything will be live-streamed on the Coldsnap website for no charge thanks to their many sponsors! Get in on all the music from January 29th until February 6th.
