Do you have thoughts on CFUR's accessibility?

CFUR is moving forward with our accessibility plan, and we want YOUR feedback! We want our plan to consider and addresses all potential barriers for staff, volunteers, and the public. Our plan is officially reviewed four times annually and we’re hoping to get feedback and suggestions from our community, audience, and partners to make sure we can get on track to meet everyone’s needs.

You can read our accessibility plan by clicking here. If you’ve read that and want to share your thoughts you can find our survey by clicking on the hamburger menu in the upper right corner of our website, selecting “Contact Us” and then clicking on “Audience Feedback” (or by clicking here).

Our process for getting feedback on the plan can be found by clicking here.

We offer this survey in several alternative formats. It can be taken over the phone (by appointment), in-person at the station (by appointment), and over digital platforms such as Zoom.
Please reach out to policy@cfur.ca and CC stationmanager@cfur.ca to arrange such an appointment, or call 250-960-7664.

Calling all Graduate Students!

We’re looking to get feedback on our services from the graduate students of UNBC! CFURadio has started a survey just for unbc grad students so that we can hear your suggestions, comments, and ideas. Take some time out of your day to share your thoughts with us!

You can reach our survey by clicking here or by clicking on the little hamburger menu in the upper right corner of our website, select “Contact Us” and then click on “Audience Feedback.” The survey is at the bottom of the page. While you’re there, you can check out our other surveys too! (What FUN!)

Happy Record Store Day!

Hope you have a great record store day today folks. A beautiful Saturday to peruse the stacks of music at your local vendor of choice and come away with a treasure to bathe your ears with over and over and over and over and over and over …errrRRRRrrrrkKk… Downloads, Cassettes, CDs, Vinyl, and more
Don’t skip out on this opportunity! ;)

The good folks of the music distribution world are hard at work in your town changing the catalogues daily at places like 2nd thoughts Buy & Sell where you can find fresh pressings of the best hard-to-find classics you can imagine, plus new releases of that GarOOvy stuff we play on CFUR 88.7fm (why not check out the Afro-Caribbean Store next door while you’re at it), there’s Sunrise Records with nothing but shiny new black lacquer, and more to peruse at Electron, Sound Factory, London Drugs. Heck if music isn’t your thing today, there’s even a book sale down at the PG Public Library from 10am to 3pm today.

If you really want a full circle music madness day, you could land for lunch at Buskers Diner, and cap off the evening at the Peeg Leeg for a Mad Loon show, tonight it’s Patchwork w/ Simbiyez Wilson

What’s your favorite record store in PG?

Special Earth Day Programming!

Special Programming Alert!

In account for today being Earth Day we will be substituting all of our music blocks with the Wetland Project, an environmental soundscape recorded from the TEKTEKSEN marsh in unceded WSÁNEĆ territory, Saturna Island, British Columbia.

Artists Brady Marks and Mark Timmings invite you to fill your home, work and leisure spaces with the sounds of birds, frogs, insects and airplanes for the entire day! Over 17 other radio stations are participating nation wide.

"Climate emergencies, political upheaval and the ongoing pandemic are raising societal anxiety. It’s important to stay informed, but now more than ever, taking a day to pause and reconnect with the “other-than-human” world helps listeners to collect their thoughts and find a footing in these tumultuous times. The slow-radio format provides a life-affirming break from the stressful news cycle and offers time to reflect upon a more lucid and caring future."

How Accessible is CFUR? TELL US!

Do you have opinions on accessibility? Wish CFUR was in a different Location? Are there things preventing you from accessing our station, services, or equipment? Do you want to be heard? Look no further! CFUR is designing an accessibility plan for our station and we want to hear from YOU!

We wish to make a plan that considers and addresses all potential barriers for staff, volunteers and public. Our plan is still in the works and we’re hoping to get feedback and suggestions from our community, audience, and partners to make sure we can get on track to meet everyone’s needs.

You can read our plan of action by clicking here. If you’ve read through that and/or are ready to share your thoughts, just click on the hamburger menu in the upper right corner of our website, select “Contact Us” and then click on “Audience Feedback.” (Or you can just click here)

Why not take some time out of your day to share your thoughts? We’re excited to hear them!
