Canadian Pizza! Bannock! Bacon! Suppertime!

To celebrate a small handful of contemporary Canadian music, I made a Canadian Pizza. This recipe came to me in a dream wehooo. Perhaps I Guy Ferretti subliminaly messaged this to me....

The crust: ( bannock)

2 cups flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 cup water

The toppings:

Real maple syrup

Goats cheese

Bacon, diced and fried

Pecans

  • Mix bannock ingredients in a bowl with hand(s)
  • once a ball is formed, place on a floured surface
  • roll into a nice circle, about 2 inches thick
  • Heat up a large frying pan with about 1/2 inch or 1 inch of oil over medium heat. Oil is ready when you drop a small piece of dough into it and it sizzles
  • Add you dough into pan and cook for 4 minutes on each side or until nice and golden
  • Add your toppings and throw into an oven of 400 degrees for about 5 minutes
